Study: In Reflection

A small reflection of what life brings.

When considering all the things that have happened in my life, you’d think that an intelligent person would work out the way they were doing things was wrong.  Unfortunately, either I’m not an intelligent person, or things just don’t go the way we expect them to.

For instance, I know that not studying will not get me anywhere near the path I want to travel, yet I still avoid it with all my effort.  The pleasure gained from the instant gratification of the internet outweighs the need to develop my lifestyle into something that will help me get the future I aim for.

Now, I’m not trying to argue how what I am doing is smart – on the contrary, I’m aware that my attitude is the thing which is holding me back.   For getting anywhere close to my goal, I need to drop the attitude of “It’ll work out”, and change it to “I’ll get it fixed.”  That goes for others as well.  If you think that your problems will work themselves out, you’ve started in the first step towards major procrastination.

In fact, this post is most definitely a form of procrastination – in order to avoid the things I don’t want to do, I do something else which feels to be more pleasant – Even if it’s something I wouldn’t normally enjoy.

So, with all that said and done, is there anything that can be done about it?  Sure.  Am I going to implement them?

Maybe later.
